I have a suggestion to improve "tile drawing"

Now: Tile gets placed for each grid no matter what palette size was selected [Screenshot1]
Ideal: Tile gets placed with a space according to the palette size [Screenshot2]

RPGMaker is following the latter way for the continuous tile placing.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Perhaps I can add a hotkey (shift?) where by holding it enables this sort of effect.
I'll see what I can do with this.

As I do not see any case people want to overlap meshes, perhaps the default behavior can change.

How about make a fundamental change:
For example, if you select 2x3 grids, it will place 1 big tile instead of 6 tiles. If it places 6 tiles, it gives us more flexibility to mess with the placed object. This makes UX for deleting/replacing tiles much simpler and intuitive.

If you want to know what exactly I mean, you can try to play around with RPGMakerMV. RPGMaker is a tool polished over 20 years, I think it will be a good reference.

What do you think about this idea? Is there any technical limitation?
