Importing models from other 3D apps [Feature Request]
« on: February 28, 2017, 02:00:33 PM »
One thing that would make this app a lot more useful is if you could import models that you make from Maya, Blender, etc. Obj's are fine. This is useful because modeling in Crocotile is...frustrating as it is now. I can model something in Maya in 5 min and that same model would take me like 10 hours to make in Crocotile. But! Crocotile's texturing is very unique and useful. Having the flexibility to model elsewhere would make this app very useful in my project. As it is now, the lack of modeling tools sadly prevents me from using it. Would it be difficult to implement an import feature?

PS: Is there any hack I do to get this to work right now? I really need it in my current project.

I don't have any plans to implement that sort of feature at the moment. It would be difficult due to the differences between modeling methods, but if I think of a way then I'll put it in.
